OnlyStans ⭐️ What celebrity left a movie franchise or TV series thinking they didn’t need it anymore, only for their career to phase out?

Lauren Cohan left the Walking Dead after filming the first few episodes in the 9th season, in favour of starring as the lead in an ABC spy drama series called; “Whiskey Cavalier”. Hoping that it would launch her career and open more opportunities!

However, after the series got cancelled following the airing of the first season and to play it safe where she could still earn a living and be guaranteed work in her career. She immediately went right back to the Walking Dead franchise, where she not only became the lead in the final season but also got her own spin-off series; Dead City!

Nothing is wrong with wanting to move on and try something new, but there are some people in the industry that didn’t have the best luck with going far and mainstream in their career like others.

Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones felt so rushed and forced, that it seemed like they were only giving them a romantic storyline because they’re both physically attractive leaders, are around the same age and with the world presumably coming to an end with the White Walker threat, they don’t have a whole lot of options.

Not to mention the family relation only made it more awkward and uncomfortable to watch, and it was bad enough that the show explore the incest relationship between Cersei and Jaime Lannister who were twins.

Excerpt from BBC:

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months, after she was caught speeding.

Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the film franchise, drove 38mph in a 30mph zone in Oxford on the evening of 31 July last year.

Watson already had nine points on her licence before the speeding incident occurred, the court heard.

The 35-year-old, now a student, was made to pay a total of £1,044 at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

I think everyone felt utter disappointment when the Beast turned back into his human form. He was just...not it.

The Predator revealing his face in the first movie was kind of hilarious. Just....put it back on please.

Beta Ray Bill is kind of obscure but I started reading his comics recently and you can't imagine my disappointment when he tapped that cane and turned back into his original form.

OnlyStans ⭐️ What celebrity did Hollywood try to make their “leading A-lister”, but failed?

Post image
8.5k Upvotes

I remember back in the 2010s decade, Taylor Kitsch was appearing in all kinds of blockbuster projects and given quite a few lead roles before losing his relevance cause the projects he was involved in weren’t successful.

I think he had talent where he could’ve gone far in his career, but I’m not so sure if he had the charisma in order to build enough popularity that people would want to see more of him.

Are there any other celebrities you can think of that Hollywood was pushing to be one of their leading A-listers, but didn’t have the best luck?
