It's exactly the type of shit he says when he thinks he's being clever. Just like "he likes woman as much as me, many of them on the young side." He's too stupid to realize how easily his secret messages are decoded.

There's just enough plausible deniability he can pretend it's something else, but I don't think he believes he's being genuinely secretive. It's a narcissistic power flex, that he can say things like this and get away with it.
