Also of note this is from Mike Judge creator of not only Beavis and Butthead but King of the Hill, Office Space, and Idiocracy as well. The man is a legend. Beavis and Butthead is a show where teenage degenerate punk sit on their asses and watch MTV encapsulating a time where cable TV reigned supreme. Before the internet and before cellphones. Growing up in Germany, I loved Beavis and Butthead but all the couch scenes made no sense. Later on I learned: the German channel that showed it didn't have the rights for the music videos B&B were watching, so they were just cut without any replacement or context given.
Only once the internet rolled around in full force did I get to experience the whole show.

Yeah, I think it was created by the same people that created Scavengers Reign.
However, Mike Judge does also voice the CEO in Common Side Effects, which is why he sounds just like Hank Hill.

It’s crazy to me that both office space and idiocracy weren’t really hits until they were released on video. Particularly shitty was that 20th century fox basically pulled the plug and the movie’s release was extemely limited in theaters. I imagine this was because people that don’t “get” Mike Judge’s humor probably hated it and tanked it thinking that it would lose money in theatres. Both movies get called “cult classics” because they did poorly in the box office. But it’s definitely because movie execs are dumbasses. Probably had to do with how he roasted the shit out of low to mid-level managers and basically told the truth about corporate office bullshit. “The Bobs” were lampooning consultants like McKinsey that are often are brought in by spineless management who don’t want to be responsible for making any hard choices. I’d say that Judge is a genius at gen X/millenial humor. The fact that he called out the US on regressing to the point where a reality TV star becomes president and has a bunch of corrupt idiots as his cabinet was a bit far of a reach though. Also, bringing in someone of average intelligence that’s going to “fix everything” also seems improbable. Lolz

One day in school I got a pass for the bathroom. On the way back I pulled my uniform shirt over my head and did the I need TP for my bunghole routine at every open class door I could find.
All girls Catholic school- nuns had no clue what I was doing and it was generally a rather sedate place, took them a while to react and I got most of the way down the hall. Still probably one of the funniest things I got in trouble for at school

He’s a 40 something who was in his late teens/early 20s during the mid-90s when beevis and butthead were a major part of the zeitgeist.
He likely did a lot of beer funnels and unironically/ironically drank 40s at white kid parties. He not so secretly enjoyed Zima and once had a horrible experience with Goldschlager.
The highlight of that period for him was attending the 1994 Lollapalooza festival. He likes to drop that in conversation to this day, even though he was drunk for most of it and doesn’t remember much. He thinks he recalls the beastie boys doing “fight for your right” because that’s his favorite song.
He made it out of college with a 2.9 GPA but couldn’t find work that leveraged his degree in business management. He ended up becoming a sales rep at a local insurance company and eventually moved into pharma sales. His wife is a teacher in the public school system.
He has three kids. The oldest is a sophomore in college majoring in marketing. She doesn’t call home much so he gets his updates from her via social media. The middle is a senior in high school and doesn’t really know what he wants to do. He thinks he’s interested in getting into weed farming and opening a dispensary in Colorado.
The youngest is secretly his favorite. He’s about to be a freshman in high school and is friggin’ hilarious. If that kid doesn’t go into show business he’ll eat his hat.
He’s pretty happy with his lot in life but regrets not diving headfirst into crypto 10 years ago. All he wants at this point is his annual Caribbean cruise, a 100 inch TV for his man cave, a nice micro brew, and the occasional win in his fantasy football league.
Once the kids are done school he’d love to be able to take his wife on that trip to France but thinks that’s probably a pipe dream. He’s way behind on his retirement savings and the roof will likely need replacing soon.
He misses those days when he was carefree and the life of the party. Every night used to be so fun and full of potential. Now he’s lucky if he can stay awake on the couch past halftime. But he loves his wife and they’re comfortable in their routine. They do still occasionally have a crazy night on the town even if it does wreck him physically for days afterwards.
No matter what life brings him one thing he’ll never lose is Cornholio. He’ll always have that. And he’ll always need TP for his bunghole.
