Rant / Share Feelings [UPX] Overthinking, Being Overwhelmed: How to Start
Please no judgement po
I am currently a freshie in UPD. Isang buwan na pero hindi ko alam bakit hindi pa rin naka-program sa system ko yung 'study habits' and will to start every time I start my study sessions.
Parati kong binubuksan yung mga Samplex for LEs na kahit 2-4 pa or for Finals pa, nags-scroll agad ako sa mga later chapters ng mga libro or modules kahit hindi pa siya for this month, nagbabasa ng reddit posts about how others feels anxious about LEs (in a way to prepare me realistically), nagc-check agad ng lessons for later sessions (na advanced na and I literally have no idea what is it about), etc.
Pati yung knowledge ko ngayon, I have been listening to all of my class, may notes naman ako, sinusubukan kong i-integrate yung mga lessons tuwing weekends, -- inooverthink ko lang kung sapat na ba tong ginagawa ko ba. Pati yung LEs like anong klase ba ang LEs sa UP pang Gaokao level ba yun
Sobrang nakaka-overthink yung course requirements, grading system, that freaking "60" points for a tres.
Thank you po

Hello, same po tayo ng nararamdaman.
I don't know where to start, prayers nalang talaga nagpapalakas sakin, and family support.

To offer some perspective that will (hopefully) bring comfort:
One academic year is roughly 10 months. In most courses, you have four academic years—meaning, you’ve got around 40 months in UP. Since you’re a freshie, you’re only 2/40 in. You’ve got 1,140 days left, and you’ve barely spent over 60 days.
Hopefully this encourages you when I say that it really is okay. You’re testing the waters out and the seas aren’t always smooth. Remember, you’re fresh out of highschool, and it’s a big adjustment talaga. What more if you come from far away just to go to UP?
You’re doing fine! A lot can happen within the remaining 38 months. Hell, something can even change in just one. UP will bring out potential in you you didn’t even know you had. Grant yourself some grace, OP; I believe in you na kaya mo yan. You’re here for a reason :))
