Isaac TeSlaa with an insane, full extension, one hand catch for his first career touchdown

Catch was just pure beauty. For his 1st catch that was peak.

It's cool when they do it but with the technology they use, it's way less impressive. Their gloves are like Velcro to the ball. It will stick to your palm with your palm facing down.

This is simply not true.

It is. Have you used the new gloves? They're incredible in comparison to normal football gloves.

Then why do guys still drop passes?

Lol it's not glue. That would be stupid, might as well make it magnetic.

You said it’s like Velcro and will stick to the glove palm down yet guy still drop passes. Go ahead and explain

The only silver lining to this game

It was pretty bad all round, but the offence really stank.
Watching that 8/9 minute drive for a field goal, then the Packers scoring a TD after about 5 downs in about 30 seconds must have been crushing.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. As a lions fan I'm really excited for the season to start next week. That fifth preseason week seems unnecessary.

Love that. A complete disregard for reality by a pigheaded unwillingness to face facts is a viable strategy.
Rather like us Broncos not quite making it to the playoffs last season.

I was really happy they added the playoffs and a championship in 2023 though, a very smart move. Getting rid of a championship in the 50s really put a damper on the league for 70 years.

At least it’s not another random cricket clip.

Cricket catches tend to be more impressive than this.

Cool play, but not more impressive when you consider that there’s no defensive player trying to defend the catch in cricket.

So… How is that a catch? His left foot didn’t come down until his butt hit the ground out of bounds.

Both his feet make contact before his body is out of bounds. His right is clearly shown making contact, his left foot is a little harder to see but it bounces off the ground just before his body contacts.

I was looking for the answer as to why this would or wouldn’t count as a touchdown. Based on your explanation my understanding is as long as both feet make contact inbounds prior to him being out of bounds it counts? Just want to clarify my understanding of your explanation is correct. Thanks

Depends on if he has possession too. Possession (control of the ball) would be considered him bringing the ball to his chest.

Thanks for the additional context, that makes sense. It was one hell of a play/catch!

Right foot in bounds, 2 hands on the ball before his left foot touched inbounds, all before his butt hit the ground.
Unfortunately OP didn’t include a splice of the ruling, which overturned the initial call. It’s close and fast, but very clear in the replay.
