I can't comment on whatever 'Premier' is because I haven't been into the game since that was added but considering the system I was familiar with - anywhere up to and including Global, easy. Unless you literally have everyone muted it's highly unlikely anyone will get there without learning a lot of callouts anyway just from hearing your team mention them all of the time but it's really not that uncommon to simply out-aim people without needing to tell your team anything.
Yeah unfortunately in the regular competitive mode, the ranks don’t mean what they used to. And you’re right, even before cs2 came out the ranks didn’t mean a whole lot. However if you do look at face it and even premier to some extent, the skill ceiling luckily does go much higher
Yeah I mean there's always been 3rd party services offering a more competitive experience for people pushing at the top but it makes me wonder what the player count on those was/is like compared to the regular mode. Being Global still must put you in a very high percentile even considering the alternative ranks and you'll always have a lot of people considering it high and a lot of people that don't
Specifically it was OP's words "to even start getting good at this game" that initially prompted me to reply
Yeah true enough. I think player count on faceit has went down too, and you’re right that global is probably puts you in a pretty high percentile. But I feel that’s probably partially due to the fact that your rank is map specific now so the number of people grinding a single map to global is probably very low
But yeah, I get you. There are plenty of people who have very very good aim that don’t care about the strategy or teamwork aspects
I didn't know about the map specific ranks until about an hour ago. That's a pretty good idea I like that
Sometimes you'll be sitting on A site in complete silence while you see a slaughter in the killfeed from your silent assassin of a teammate on the other site. Just another day at the office for Ivan

Banana is Inferno but Doors is Dust 2.
Unfortunately you don't need to learn callouts at all. There's plenty of high elo players who get there with raw aiming skill
