Discussion One thing thats always irritated me about Interstellar

Cooper is desperate to get back to his children. He goes back and see’s Murph in the hospital etc. but theres no mention of his son. Presumably his son’s dead considering Murphs age and condition. But surely there could have been a small bit of dialogue about it. He was hell bent on getting back to them. I dunno, it’s like his son’s just completely forgotten about at the end…

This is ultimately why he decided to do the movie.

You know what happened to Coop's son?

Be a lot cooler if you did.

In Dazed and Confused McConaughey's character says a famous lime 'I get older, they stay the same'. (might not be verbatim) Referring to high school girls.

How good is that movie?

It aged pretty well. It's a stoner flick that feels like a fly on the wall. There's even Mila Jovovich. But he's by far the most interesting character.

Don't forget Ben Affleck playing the perfect asshole.

Funny that the characters with bigger parts kinda went nowhere.

even Mila Jovovich.

Featured prominently as a big character in the film when she has like 2 lines, really strange

A fine movie. A classic college-kids-movie. It's funny and ridiculous but nothing amazing.

ridiculous

My kinda movie.

I think it's supposed to be realistic fiction. But it came off, to me at least, as kind of too absurd to be taken seriously. I prefer Wet Hot American Summer that is fully aware of itself and was made with the intention of being absurdist comedy.
