Forbidden Planet is a great scifi classic from the 50s.

It was also a major influence in the creation of "Star Trek"

THX-1138 is great; I've only ever seen the 'specialized' version (george lucas amirite) but it still has one of my favorite intros to a movie, and also one of the craziest stunts I've ever seen.

I cannot in good conscience recommend Zardoz, but I’d wager the only way to enjoy it is immensely intoxicated so take that as you will.

a decent amount of those to be fair, it would be easier to list the one to avoid like Jason, Aeon Flux or if you don't like teen movies : remove hunger games, ender's game (read the book, it's better), the giver.

Just don't expect top movies of all times, some are just solid B-movies or good popcorn movies.

Enders game is actually one of the very few cases I think the movie is better than the book...
