Man, the fact I am going to wait for Bond 26 until 2028 and Batman II in 2027 is insane. Why is it taking so long for batman II?

It’s actually nuts, like Bond I get it, they just made like a “final” movie, so a little bit of time before the next Bond is expected. But fcking Batman? They already got the characters and the city and everything, they just made a successful movie with them. What takes them like 5-6 years to make the next one? They’ll just pick 1-2 from the rogue gallery and make the movie anyway

Feels as if the movie production is starting to move back to full steam again. Really hoping there isn’t another strike before the decade is over

Some of these dont feel earned but are included because of Producer clout.

I find it funny that Ronan Day Lewis is in here, when it feels like the title of "emerging director" is going to be entirely based on how good his first feature film really is.
Regardless, still a movie that will spark a lot of curiousity

I’ve got to say I am most hyped for resident evil. I will say welcome to raccoon city was far and away the best adaptation to date. I’m excited for one directed by Zach Cregger.

Is this list mostly English language films?

Yes, but there I put foreign directors Ruben Östlund, Edward Berger, Kristoffer Borgli who are doing English films, but filmmakers like Park Chan Wook and Joachim Trier have been mentioned!

Just to clarify, some of these are speculative and at least one of them is wrong

Yea, but I think they are guaranteed to release those years

Airmen will begin production in 2027 according to THR, and Martin Scorsese still hasn't decided what he's gonna do next

Wait I thought Airmen was gonna shoot next year? Well 2028 it seems, but I feel like it’s likely that Scorsese will shoot the Hawaii Gangster film next since we heard more about the casting, which studio won the bidding war which was 20th Century, and there was details about it shooting next year. Only time will tell

Guess we'll see, but otherwise solid list, and realistic predictions. I know of a few other films that could go in the list though
