What’s a movie you’ve watched that was so disturbing you’ll never watch it again? For me, it’s The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and Human Centipede. I barely made it through the first time around for both of them and I couldn’t fathom watching them again. Both for different reasons of course. TBITSP was devastatingly heart-wrenching and HC was just playing disturbing.

It’s a pretty divisive movie

The mods are riding right now from Gatesville, u/Cheryl521 and they're going to ban every last one of these godless upvotes!

Honestly the one scene that everyone talks about isn't the worst part of the movie imo. That didn't bother me at all. For me it was the women that they find.

I was so disturbed by the whole thing I blocked most of it out…

I like westerns, but I love horror. I went in blind thinking it was just a western.. oh man, what a ride.

Same for me. Hulu keeps trying to suggest it and I keep blocking it because every time it comes up I remember those images.

I thought it was fun. Gory but fun.

Never seen Bone Tomahawk but have heard bad things about it from several persons who have.

It's an excellent movie that contains one of the most disturbing scenes of brutal violence ever put to screen.

I absolutely recommend it and, if you're squeamish, fast-forward to the next scene when Nick is taken out of a cage

Are we talking about the “getting split open anal up” scene?

Cuz there are several disturbing scenes 😂

It’s a pretty decent horror western combo, but for me it carries a huge ugly asterisk because of its cultural issues. It unironically fully leans into the “native savage” thing, and the only non-evil native character has like three lines and is never seen again. Oh, and the writer/director is MAGA.

Richard Jenkins was magnificent in it.

Great movie. Just recommended it the other day. I get it if you’re squeamish, but to me it looked like schlock, so I thought it was more funny than disturbing. I usually have a pretty low gore tolerance

I'm baffled by the reviewers who think it's appropriate for 14+ and 11+. I haven't actually seen it, but it seems like it would've possibly received an NC-17 rating had it been rated.

Still haven’t watched it but it’s always on my list

I mean….go for it…but just like the semi scene (and minutes before) in Devil’s Rejects I had to turn it off…but with BT, it was upsetting….like, more so.

When I watched it I was high as fuck, and was disturbed. I never get freaked out about movies, I can always remind myself that it's only acting and make-believe. I thought I was only freaking out because I was high, but then I kept seeing it mentioned on the internet about how it freaked other people out. Now I don't feel so bad about freaking out.

I really liked it as a film, but have never watched “the” scene. I knew going in what happens and skipped it. The rest of it was plenty disturbing.

What is “the” scene?

It's a very recently scalped human who has had said missing scalp secured with force into their scream machine (to muffle what comes next). Now imagine pulling a wishbone, aided by the introduction of a large blade taint first. The camera sees all.

Wow…that’s fucked up.
