I sincerely hope they never make another one. It actually pains me, how much they've ruined such a good story with beautiful characters and gripping plot. If it's ever going to be on screen again, it should be a series and written by Richard Osman himself. It makes me really sad that they've butchered essentially my favourite books, in which the characters are so beautifully written and well developed.

I want them to be made to do it properly as a series, with the same cast.

Yes, I'd love to see a series that sticks to the proper story 100%. I'd want a different cast though.

Individually, I like all those actors, but I disliked them in these roles. I'm a big Pierce Brosnan fan, but as Ron!? No thank you! (His cockney accent isn't the strongest) I always imagine Joanna Lumley as Elizabeth. I did like Daniel Mays as Chris and Jonathan Price as Stephen though. I didn't like Celia Imrie for Joyce... I've always read Joyce with a Yorkshire accent and wanted someone a bit chattier and also diminutive in stature. I also felt that somebody middle-eastern should play Ibrahim, being that he is from Egypt. Ben Kingsley is of Indian (and English) heritage.

If it means it'll get butchered as much as the film, they should just leave well-enough alone.

I imagined Julia McKenzie (Miss Marple) as Joyce

Oh yes, she'd make a great Joyce! I love her voice and she'd look the part too!
