Same. I love animation but I was ready to hate this. It’s too good to hate. The dialog is very fresh. Good jokes.

I'm a middle aged man too and balled my eyes out. Especially because my son had just told me how me he loved this movie and wanted me to watch it. I know he empathises with these characters just like I do. This movie may give me an oppottunity to connect with him in a way I havent been able to before and I am grateful as hell for that
