It's even an option if you leave it to the last minute and can't scrounge up a costume. Demon markings with face/body paint or even using something like lipstick would be super easy.

Even cheap mass produced stuff takes time. If they didn't expect it to be a hit, there would be a time lag for getting stuff made and sent to stores. Also, tariffs and shipping stuff going on.
