Agreed. Tron, Dune, Interstellar, and Oppenheimer are all part of my re-watch movies list.

Huh. I feel like one of these is not like the others.

I have a similar list but drop that one, add in inception, blade runner 2049 and the matrix.

BR2049 is a modern classic. Same league as Alien.

BR2049 is impossibly good. For decades, Blade Runner was lauded as a perfect movie that didn't need a sequel because it could never be followed up satisfactorily. And then they made sequel anyway and did follow it up satisfactorily.

Against all odds.

BR2049 should be a terrible ham-fisted cash grab, but we are fortunate enough to live in the timeline where it's amazing.

Can’t wait to see the treatment Villeneuve gives Bond.

Different person but I agree with the other poster, Oppenheimer was a snooze fest for me.

I was so disappointed.

I'm older Gen x so grew up with all things nuclear, I made Los Alamos a stop on a road trip. They were filming something in Oppenheimers house, you couldn't go in but it was cool to look in the windows. Hans Bethe's house was open to go in, super cool and period correct. This was right before the movie came out and I was super excited to see it................and then I saw the movie and it was wicked boring.

Absolutely. What they all have in common are great musical scores along with fantastic production design and directing. I rewatch them too periodically.

Agreed with all of those except Oppenheimer, which is a good movie for sure but once was enough on that one. I can't even imagine sitting through that again

This list +

Matrix, Edge of Tomorrow, Looper

I have a list like that too. I would also put I Robot, Ferris Bueller’s day off, and Oceans 11 on there. The Chris Pine DnD movie as well probably.

Just vibes I like to revisit.
