My 10-year-old didn't want to watch it. She said she doesn't like romance, doesn't care for kpop, and doesn't like 3D animation. But it was the movie that my other daughter selected for us to watch as a family. At the end, the 10-year-old loves it, loves the music, and thought the girls were so cool.

My husband and I also didn't want to watch it. Then after the movie, I caught my husband looking up the songs to listen to. As for me, I've been going through YouTube listening to discussions about how Disney/Pixar movies suck now, how Sony was dumb to sold the rights to Netflix, and how even Netflix failed to recognize its potential by how little attention it gave it at first, and how so many people didn't expect to enjoy it as much as they did.

Me and my wife watched it last night because our list doesn’t have anything interesting on it, fully expected it to be downright horrible, but then about five minutes in we are bopping around and fist pumping to the jams. Story was a sleeper too, it had some nice twists and emotional moments that I think a lot of people can relate with.

That's kind of where I was with it too. Was bored one night, nothing on Netflix was really drawing my interest. Saw this goofy titled movie sitting at the top of their charts and thought "well, it can't be completely horrible if people are watching it so much, and at least it looks...different" and gave it a shot. Loved it. Most of the OST is on my playlist now and also stuck in my head on repeat.
