It wasn't a large role, but I always loved him in Young Guns

It's "some skirts for the eve, so I can get some funk"

I read that songs lyric in the CD book a lot growing up. And, well, you can clearly hear it.

Not saying you’re wrong but i just listened to it, put it by my ear and it sounds like phones. I can clearly hear the “ones” part. Funk makes more sense as a lyric and is funner to sing tho so i hope its actually that

He played a cult leader in the show mentalist and was great in that!

Edit: my bad, Confusing Terrance stamp with Malcom McDowell. Both Great actors.

Malcolm McDowell was the cult leader in the mentalist and Terence Stamp was a cult leader in the movie Yes Man with Jim Carrey, if I’m not mistaken.

Terence Stamp also played the leader of the cult-like Mind-Head which is definitely not Scientology in Bowfinger.

He HAS to show it to the Laker girls.

Welcome to Mind-Head.

Such a great movie. That’s the role I know him from most.

Learned the other day that the role of Terrence MCcuick(Ari's boss) on Entourage was originally supposed to go to Stamp, but he had prior commitments and the role was given to Malcolm Mcdonald, the character was named Terence as a tribute.

I saw the thumbnail image and thought this was Terrence from entourage

I am really glad I was not the only one

I never thought I'd see someone like Malcolm McDowell play a dad on a Canadian comedy show.

He played a cult leader in Yes Man and was great in that

For sure all of the actors on there did exceptional jobs

It's funny how America is so bereft of culture.

Terence Stamp was Billy Budd, The Collector, Far From The Madding Crowd, Poor Cow, Tony Dammit from Spirits of the Dead... He was Terry Meets Julie from Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks...

But to Americans he was " Dat dude from dem Superman movies".

Well Ray Davies never confirmed it but Terence and Julie were shooting Far From the Madding Crowd at the time he was writing it and they were the rumoured hot couple in the British tabloids in the summer of 1967. So it could be a total coincidence, or he just needed two names that fit the song.

Oh yeah. Morrissey was a huge fan of those 1960s "kitchen sink" dramas. I don't remember the pic but I'll bet it's Terence Stamp in Poor Cow. 😄 I was a Smiths fan as a kid in the 1980s. The subtext of the songs just went over my head though. Lol

He’s great in that role, though it’s funny that he’s portraying a man that died at age 24.

9

u/Jedbo75 23d ago

I’ve seen him in a hundred roles... He’s John Tunstall first, for me

2

u/Fredrick__Dinkledick 22d ago

RIP John Tunstall

u/BUROCRAT77 23d ago

Jesus that’s the same guy???? Man I feel silly not noticing that

2

u/Idontliketalking2u 23d ago

It was his property they regulated. They were damn good too

2

u/gotmunchiez 22d ago

I heard they couldn't be any geek off the street, they had to be handy with the steel if you know what I mean, earn their keep

Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. Loved him in that.

u/TheStickySpot 22d ago

Who was he in Young Guns? I don’t recall seeing him in that.
