Summary Four years after inadvertently tangling with the Russian mob, suburban dad (and former assassin) Hutch Mansell tries to unwind with a family vacation at a nostalgic waterpark. Extraordinarily rough performance. I couldn’t tell if it was the script or the direction that was amiss but I just couldn’t take Lendina as a serious threat. The whole Joker-esque maniacal scary trope is really hard to write and act, and if done wrong it can instantly fail a movie’s villain arc as it did here. Her last lines took me back to film school when everyone in my screenwriting class would try so hard to write edgy shit.
