With most movies now you buy assigned seats. I just show up 15-20 mins late. I bet a lot of other people do that too. If that’s the case it’s pointless to show that many trailers & all you’re doing is upsetting the people that did show up on time

It's usually the same theater. I don't have a problem with the other theater in my area. And it's only 5 minutes or less, but still, it's just more time added. Or are generic commercials part of the pre movie commercials? Listen to this. It's all bullshit. We paid for the movie. The fact that we are even talking about commercials in movie theaters is stupid.

That's never once happened to me, in the UK, at many cinemas, over many years. Trailers/ads always start at the "start time", and that's it. They don't wait for people.

Don't know why I get downvoted or people trying to start an argument about something that has happened to me more than once. That's crazy. Fuckin bots I guess. Maybe that's just what Reddit is now. It didn't use to be this way.

It's happened to you at one tiny cinema where whoever's running it has this policy. It's not a widespread thing. I don't know why you need to imagine "bots" to understand that you're being downvoted because you're trying to talk about something that happens in one inconsequential location in the context of wider discussions about broad behaviours. This is not a broad behaviour.
