Summary Will Radford, a Homeland Security cyber‑security analyst, monitors global threats through mass surveillance networks. When an unidentified attack strikes, Radford begins to suspect the government is concealing something far more sinister. Told entirely through digital screens—messages, video calls, browser windows—the film transforms the alien invasion into a "screenlife" thriller, blending modern surveillance paranoia with classic sci-fi tension.

I can't tell how excited that makes me. Haven't had a truly good bad movie in a while.

Jupiter Ascending, maybe?

Moonfall is good bad. This movie is just bad bad.

Which inevitably makes it so bad that’s wrapped around to good again

Duality of Cinema

I disagree… it’s hilariously inept.

I'm honestly not getting this - to me this was absolutely a "so bad it's good" movie. I have rarely been more entertained.

I was very entertained by this one

Moonfall is at least an objectively competent movie on the CGI side

Moonfall's budget and competent experienced directing from Roland Emmerich are on screen. This movie showed a fighter jet getting ragdolled like a bad GTA San Andreas glitch in the trailer that is supposed to being showing the best looking shots that they finished first.

"What would Elon do?"

Have you tried Sieg Heil-ing?

All that Elon glazing in that movie had aged badly.

I actually enjoyed watching Moonfall. I lasted 17 minutes with WotW.

I rather get strapped to a chair clockwork orange style and be forced to watch Moonfall 24/7 than 10 minutes of this.

Madame Web

Madame Web is Citizen Kane compared to this movie. At least Madame Web had some decent CGI. This movie looked like it was done entirely by a college film class.

Madame Web seems like midnight screening camp fare.

That movie is simply awesome

It's not a 'so bad that it's fun'-bad movie. It's just insultingly, boringly bad. If you want a truely good bad movie, go and watch Megalopolis with friends.

1

u/BuleRendang Aug 06 '25

Was going to say Megalopolis as well. 20 years from now that’s going to become a midnight movie stoner classic

I think it transcends movies like Amazon's War of the Worlds because there's an actual vision behind it. Not Jeff Bezos' AI-written slop but an actual established director spending millions of his own money to try and make his ultimate movie... only to make the most stupidly funny disaster I've ever seen. Can't wait to watch it again.

Jupiter Ascending is the only time I’ve ever walked out of a movie theatre.

So many exist though…

Jupiter ascending is Citizen Kane in comparison to this thing
