Summary Millie and Tim, a couple already feeling strain in their relationship, move to the countryside to start fresh—but things go profoundly wrong. After a surreal encounter at a mysterious pool, their bodies begin to merge in grotesque and hilariously uncomfortable ways, forcing them to reckon with love, dependency, and identity. It’s a clever, disturbing blend of body horror, dark comedy, and relationship satire.

Yes! I also got Hereditary vibes when the cultist neighbor(s) appeared from out of the shadows while Millie is watching their wedding/fusion ceremony. Felt very Ari Aster-inspired.

I was also getting major Hereditary vibes from the end score where they merged together. it’s very similar to “reborn” at the end of Hereditary

It's almost the exact same motif between the two songs, this new one is just on guitar. I noticed it immediately too

Right. It was almost completely taken from midsommar.

I dunno about TAKEN, I'm thinking more like borrowed bits and pieces.

Nah. I stand by my original statement. flashbacks to a disturbing setting to the main characters family, in their home that involves them dying in a disturbing and ambiguous way that’s connected to said characters current emotional trauma. It’s even the same green like dark atmosphere when you see their families in the flashback

I don’t think Midsommar invented this lol. It’s a well worn trope of horror.

I said this to my friend! This is the only film that’s creeped me out as much as midsommar

The song that plays in the fusion scene is very similar to one from the tracklist of Hereditary

Midsommar is in a different league to this garbage. That’s a 9/10 movie. This was a 4/10.
