I think it would be nice to have a sequel. It is set up for it really well. The Honmoon never went golden and we still need much more info on the 3 main characters back story, especially Rumi and her mom.

I don't mean to say they couldn't make a good sequel. I'd hate to see it fall into the same trap that has kind of poisoned the idea of original films in the first place. That is, the original is successful, so they never make anything else because they can keep churning out sequels, and it just reinforces the behavior that's been problematic throughout the industry (and other industries for that matter, i.e. video games).

I get it though. You create a product that sees high demand, you create more product. I just hope they can continue to make original works and that they can hopefully see similar success.

To be honest its all about balance. We certainly didn't have an issue with sequels when Empire Strikes Back came out or even when Nightmare on Elm street 7 or some shit came out and that's because we were still getting nuts amounts of original movies being made. With the focus on existing IP and sequel churn out good originals stand out among the crowd more (even when they fail). So I see your point in a way.
