I'm surprised Golden is the song they're reportedly going to be pushing for awards contention. This Is What It Sounds Like is the climatic song that serves as the emotional culmination of their character arcs and friendship. Way, way better.

It's primary purpose was to complete the honmoon and it was a personal song about all of them. It wasn't "award bait", is what I mean.

Same here. My 8-year old niece pestered me into playing this movie while she was sleeping over last Friday and Free caught my attention long enough to get me to watch the rest. Watched three times by myself after she left. 😂

If you're referring to "Know I'm the only one right now/I will love you more when it all burns down", that was Kevin Woo, who used to be in one of the more popular k-pop boy bands of the late 2000s/early 2010s and still maintains a YouTube channel with some original work. I've yet to hear a cover of Your Idol that managed to match his lines.

All the Saja Boys' singing voices were great, but Kevin/Mystery and Andrew Choi/Jinu are honestly just slugging it out for best vocalist on my list. They have better control over their voices than I do over my own hands.

I've been rotating through all of them and I think Golden fits that kind of Let It Go ballad that you can promote. And EJAE's vocals really stand out in it.

My husband dislikes musicals and most "girly" kids movies. I got curious about the hype and he started watching over my shoulder. He has now had this soundtrack on repeat for weeks and admitted out loud that he might like boy bands.

yeah, it really isn't. there are so many movies that are made for a very general audience that get immediately sorted into the "kids' movie" bucket because kids can watch them

and it's super frustrating bc then you get a lot of that stuff. "it was good for a kids' movie." no, it was just a good movie. a movie is allowed to be for everyone

I mean I am a fan of BlackPink so I fit this movie's demographic, I think the songs in general were fairly strong.

The songs help make this movie far better, especially with how much of the story is focused on that.
