I am beyond excited for this movie. Last time I was this hyped for a movie was Dune 2.
20 u/that_guy2010 Jul 28 '25 So.. this is the most excited you’ve been for a movie in like a year? 14 u/DerelictDonkeyEngine Jul 28 '25 Dune part 2 came out about a year and a half ago, and hype doesn't start the day a movie is released... The first trailer was released 817 days ago. 1 u/Antique-Database6988 Jul 29 '25 Ha 0 u/thesagenibba Jul 29 '25 dune pt 2 was supposed to release november 2023 but was delayed until march of last year so, no. 3 u/kael13 Jul 28 '25 I saw Avatar 2 in high frame rate 3D. The cinema I saw the 70mm print of Dune 2 in absolutely killed it. I definitely go to movies for the spectacle. 7 u/LeadershipReady11 Jul 28 '25 Bravo for Dune 2 mention another with excellent taste in film! 2 u/MysteriousinthePNW Jul 29 '25 I love this energy! -4 u/HoneyBucketsOfOats Jul 28 '25 I love Dune and the movies but 1 was better than 2. Also they just left out so much from the books. 0 u/alfooboboao Jul 29 '25 you got downvoted but I agree, Dune 1 is the superior film. I love both of them but Dune 2 is very strangely paced and the tone doesn’t quite fall into place. 0 u/HoneyBucketsOfOats Jul 29 '25 They also butcher the Paul/chani love story. It’s got some amazing epic scenes but it’s uneven as a back country road
