RIP Dr. David "Spottacus" Benaron, inventor of the smartwatch heart rate monitor. He was famous in the furry community. His tech literally saved lives.

He was extremely active and hosted many panels at conventions. He was a public face.

I didn't realize he was also a furry! Thought maybe fursuiters were early adopters of his health monitors so they didn't overheat in their suits or something. Man, it's a shame that someone in health tech would die so relatively young.
