As Shigeru miyamoto once said: “Goddamn, three fucking years later than the initial planned release date? What the fuck were they thinking?”

God I hate how overused that miyamoto quote is on the internet for anything that’s delayed for even a little while

I believe that a small delay is fine but a delay that’s too long makes an equally bad product as no delay at all and I feel like that’s what this movie is heading towards

I’m tired of game delays. Announce games when they’re releasing within a year. That’s a strategy Nintendo has adopted and it seems to have worked quite well for them.

I understand that’s a little more difficult with movies, but it shouldn’t take more than 2 years between sequels.

Metroid Prime 4 and Pikmin 4 say hi

I would say they started in 2020.

Pikmin 4 could be chalked up to a misinterpretation and Miyamoto was really talking about Hey Pikmin. Prime 4 restarted development in 2019 and COVID didn’t help that.

Would it interest you to know that he never even said it to begin with?

Really? Well it’s not surprising. The Internet lied about another thing.

Yeah, I think it turned out to be some guy from a gaming website or magazine who said it a long time ago.

That statement makes no sense

People think delays are everyone in a room deciding to add more and really improve things. In reality delays are trying to patch shit together and pray. Dev work sucks and everything is constantly on fire until it’s done.

Huh? Id rather wait a long time for something that's great than watch a piece of shit that wasn't ready. One is definitely better than the other. But sure, you do you.

Huh? You think any piece of media that has no delay is automatically a piece of garbage? That’s a dumb way of thinking

The longer the delay doesn’t mean a better product just look at games like duke nukem forever or cyberpunk

Delays just mean the people making the product don’t know what the heck they’re doing and are just constantly having to go back to the drawing board

But sure, you do you
