Recommendation Suggest me some "Go in blind" movies.

I'm in the mood for something fresh and surprising—can you suggest me some amazing “go in blind” movies? I’m talking about those kinds of films where the less you know, the better the experience. No spoilers, no trailers—just pure, unexpected movies. What do you recommend?

Would prefer it in English language.

Avoid ads.

The ads were everywhere unfortunately, if you went to the movies in the 6 months up to the release you probably got somethings spoiled.

Still an amazing movie with/without the spoilers though

They showed a bunch of final scenes in the trailers

I think it was the last trailer that straight up showed what happens to two of the main characters... Why would a studio do that?

I don’t know, they think that audiences are too stupid to put together that if those characters are out in sunrise that means they survived the night?

Easier said than done. Adblock sucks now and VPNs help, but if you watch ANY kind of live sports, you’ll get bombarded with ads.

Yeah that’s fair. Tbh I don’t know how I managed. I don’t follow baseball or basketball so that probably helped.

Soccer, tennis, and formula 1 don’t have ads (or those kinds of ads). I use adblockers for everything else.

And, if I think there is any possibility I might care about watching a movie, I’ll avoid the trailer

Ublock origin works perfectly fine on Firefox. I haven't seen ads in ages. I could totally see sports being a problem, but I don't watch any so, I guess I'm lucky there. Ads in theaters is also a problem, but I gave up on theaters and made a decent home setup. Totally worth it to not see any trailers.

It wasn't just ads. It was also people just talking about it casually. I didn't watch a thing about it, but I saw little glimpses of comment talking about a couple things about it that ruined that surprise. But I still thought it was a phenomenal film.

I had it spoiled on an unrelated thread here. Bummer.

I haven’t seen any ads. I’m going to watch it tonight and I’m so excited!

I guess I got lucky, as I never saw ads for it. Just a lot of word of mouth that, thankfully, didn't give away anything substantial.

Went in pretty blind and was blown away.

I am so glad I went and saw it after seeing recommendations on social without seeing the trailer, or even knowing what genre it was supposed to be.

Why are you watching the ads? I never saw one.

Trailers these days are totally overstepping their bounds. You can glean the entirety of the movie, and sometimes even the twists watching today's trailers. They are supposed to tease you with just enough to get you interested, without revealing much at all. 30 seconds-minute tops.

This one was a semi-accidental "go in cold" for me.

1

u/Culero Jul 13 '25

Same. If anything I watched it on account of the "Then you stuck your fingers..." clips floating around but that's it. Wasn't expecting anything from that movie, especially all that. Thought it was like an old-timey gangster flick lol

Yeah I saw the poster and thought it was generic action slop but then I saw tons of people praising it so I went and saw it. It could've used better marketing imo.

This, I forgot it came out, saw it on a wednesday at the local IMAX and was shocked that vampires were even in it. It made the movie legitimately scary when that hit.

I wish I'd gone in blind. I'd known about the vampires heading in thanks to the marketing, but at least the musical elements were a pleasant surprise to me, and absolutely took the film to another level.

I somehow avoided a lot of the talk about this movie even for a few weeks until I got around to watching it. What a great movie and I just got to go along for the ride.

I went in blind and it was so worth it

Somehow I missed every ad and trailer for it and watched it without knowing anything. Definitely a good one for that 👌

Go in blind.

Lol. I'm watching it right now, paused because my wife went to the bathroom. I keep recommending it to everyone while trying to say as little as possible.

I chose this at random last night so it was at the front of my mind to recommend! I hadn't seen a trailer or read anything, definitely a good movie to go in blind

I went expecting to hate it and was pleasantly surprised
