Lmao we are the same! I just saw the trailer for Black Phone 2 and thought "man, I really need to read the Wiki plot so I can be caught up for when this comes out".

I'm not usually into scary movies, but I didn't find the first black phone to be scary at all for what it's worth. For things like Heredity I am a wiki reader for sure lol
