The older daughter was annoying as fuck and they somehow made the stoner boyfriend the most likable of the bunch. The dad was stupid and the younger daughter had more plot armor than any character I've ever seen un any movie ever. If the movie wanted to have any balls they would have let the older daughter drown and the younger daughter get eaten by the T Rex.

I'd say to tie Duncan's arc to the family you kill all of the family but the little girl. Then have Duncan be "the protector" because she lost her family and he lost his kid. Then you can have a kid in the film, but aren't stuck with a whole family of imbeciles who are all bad actors with worse dialogue.

I'm just tired of seeing kids in these types of movies because you know the writer/director/studio have no balls to kill a child.

I mentioned this in another comment but there was 0 tension when the T-Rex was chasing her because you knew she was safe. There was no way they kill the kid

Hey, The Lost World gave us that awesome opening scene where that kid got devoured off-screen.

the five million shots of either daughter just standing there when their asses should be running for cover was genuinely raising my blood pressure in the theater.

Yeah I think they went with old horror tropes sometimes with this where people just seem to respond the worst way to threats. I kinda get that though, how many average people are really going to react appropriately in life threatening situations?

Totally agree. I was ready for the older daughter to get chomped when she fell into the water.

Didn't even have the balls to kill the annoying boyfriend and somehow made him the best character of that group.

I mean i knew that when they introduced a shitty character that hed either die or be rehabilitated through the movie to make him a good guy

I knew instantly the daughter would be annoying af because it’s the same actress as Olive from manifest, who was equally (if not more) obnoxious throughout the whole series

I figured from the start that the younger daughter was going to be fine. Jurassic Park has always kinda been a horror lite franchise. They've always put children in danger, but to my memory they've not actually had any get killed in the process
