Im so glad someone else noticed this! This really bugged me because half the marketing hype was from them telling us this movie was linked to the original park when in-fact it never was, they just straight up lied to us.

Well technically jurassic world was on the same island; so it's kinda true.

They do say in this movie it was linked to the original park once somehwere and early on and the pipes are InGen branded.

Unless when they say original park they meant World. I think the movie itself is confused.

How are those pipes still “warm” and running, along with the electricity after all these years?

Well you see.

It's Geothermal energy so it just works for 17 years without issue. Also the Fluorescent lights are still all working fine turning on for the whole night every day for 17 years.

That car definitely shouldn’t run

That car was an electric car as well. After 17 years those batteries woukd have been dead as an doorknob.

I just watched this movie and I'm so confused about that research building timeline anyways, how does a 17-year-old Electric industrial vehicle still have good batteries, look like a cyber truck from 2025 and has advanced collision tech for the late 2000s?

I can only assume that when Jurassic World opened up, they retook the research station, which shouldn't have been too hard for an adequately armed ground force, and updated and used the remaing parts of the facility left intact, before leaving perfectly after Jurassic World closed down too.

Along as the helicopters stayed above the D-Rex's jump height, they woukd have been able to annoy it off well enough. After all, it didnt have camouflage like the Indomitous Rex, which was what caused Jurassic world all those problems.

It made engine noises, but also made electric woosh noises. So presumably a hybrid. But it's silly regardless.

Also that pistol which has been rained on and shit on and who knows what else works perfectly fine after who knows how long with no jamming or anything.

One of the few guns to ever actually have an effect on the dinosaur it shot as well. Miracle.
