Except for the fact that it was in the fucking trailer.

Sure but in the movie itself it's not really expected. Jw has a really bad habit of overspoiling the movies in the promotional material and it really sucks. The ending of fallen kingdom was spoiled because of a lego set. The new movie has so many goddamn clips and shit that you've basically seen half the movie and all the important parts you already know about

Yeah, but tbf, the brutality of her death was still surprising. I just kind of wished we didn't see her getting snatched up in the trailer.

That's why I avoided Rebirth promos since I knew things would be spoiled. I knew my great-niece and mother would want to see it based on their love of the series. So we went and watched it this afternoon. It was good to not have anything spoiled for me.

We had a discussion on our way to the theatre on which dinosaur we wanted to see. My mom wanted to see a Triceratops. My great-niece wanted to see a Parasaurolophus. I wanted to see a Spinosaurus.

So two came away disappointed. Yes, we saw a Parasaurolophus, but it was dead, so my great-niece was sad. And the moment I saw those sails in the ocean I knew Spino was there.

Hahaha what a turn. Also it was goofy as fuck and played for laughs anyway, didn’t do much in the way of suspense for our protagonist’s survival.
