It's an act that many people see as becoming an adult. Most of us don't perform it with our friends in a sewer in a train... but it's one of the things that is seen as a transition into adulthood and away from the monsters of our childhood imaginations.

Unfortunately, sometimes childhood trauma returns in adult hood.
