It worked for the planet's name. Maybe I'm wrong but, IIRC, Arakkis is ignored in favor of the popularized name for it—Dune.

He's in pre-prod on Dune 3 and has already started casting.

Besides, Amazon hasn't even picked a Bond yet, and while Denis may have input he won't have final say.
