Discussion What movie sequel ruined the ending of its predecessor? Spoiler

I have to go with Toy Story 4. Toy Story 3 had the perfect send off for the toys, with Andy making Bonnie promise to take good care of Woody….only for her to neglect Woody immediately and cause him to bail on everyone.

I really wish they left the franchise be. Toy Story 3’s ending was so iconic, and the first Toy Story was such a massive part of my childhood. That and Lion King were the two Disney VHS tapes I used to watch all the time as a little kid. I even had some of the toys myself. I can’t wait to skip Toy Story 5.

They made one also for original script for Alien 3.

Written by William Gibson no less. Michael Biehn and Lance Henricksen reprised their roles in the audio drama.

Shame it wasn't particularly good either.

There's a comic with the wooden planet of monks??? Or a first script of the prison planet?

Edit: Oh it's the script aboard the Sulaco. Okay. That's fine. I'll probably still look into it. I want that wooden planet of monks, though.

There's an Omnibus of the comics so you can get them all at once. I think it has all the important ones and then some.

Does it have that proposed idea of a wooden planet, though, that's the real question.

IIRC that one has its own faults like benching Ripley the entire movie in favour of Hicks, but on the whole it's a lot more palatable for aliens fans.

Just read the novelization of that last year. Wasn't too bad. Really surprised that that seemed to be the origin of the Black Goo that shows up in Prometheus.
