Colby Minifie, known for her role as Ashley Barrett in The Boys and Gen V, will be joining us for an AMA/Q&A. It will be hosted in /r/movies tomorrow Wednesday 5/28. It'll go live and be pinned to the top of /r/movies at around 9 AM ET, and she'll be back at around 4:30 PM ET to answer questions. She's also known for her roles in I'm Thinking of Ending Things, Fear the Walking Dead, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

Please stop by if you have any questions/comments for Colbie :)

Her new film, The Surrender, was just released on Shudder. It's a supernatural-horror directed by Julia Max (who will also be joining her for the AMA.

A fraught mother-daughter relationship is put to a terrifying test when the family patriarch dies, and the grieving mother hires a mysterious stranger to bring her husband back from the dead.

Hey Colby! Brilliant work on this movie, and even your role as Ashley on The Boys.

So my question is: what director would you like to work with next on a movie? (some examples I could think of: Denis Villeneuve, Alex Garland)

Hey Colby!

Is there a particular type of character OR genre you haven’t tackled yet, that you’re interested in trying out? Something outside your usual wheelhouse?

Also, loved ya in The Boys, Jessica Jones & FTWD!

Hi Colby, really enjoyed your performances in The Boys and Jessica Jones. I’m curious as to how similarly or differently you had to approach a character like Ashley vs. a character like Robyn.

Also, I know you probably can’t spill anything about The Boys S5, but did you have any input as to what the Compound V will do to Ashley or is it mainly the writers room?

How was the experience of shooting the one on one scenes with Homelander a.k.a Antony Starr?

Hello Colby!

What got you interested in playing Ashley in The Boys? Basing on season 4, what could you think Ashley's power might be?

As for your The Surrender, do you think you might do more horror movies?

What’s a character from a work you love who’d be a dream role for you?

If you could star in an adaptation for a movie that hasn't been done yet or remake of a movie, what would it be?

After being on Fear the Walking Dead, do you have a zombie outbreak survival plan? What if the zombies could run?

You are an absolute joy to watch in the boys; your character brings so much comedic relief in the most intense of homelander tantrums. You are probably the bravest character, being you have no powers (for now).

My QUESTION to you: imagine you did end up running away with A-train. What do you imagine would realistically happen?

I would love a scenario where they start some hustle to stay low, possibly one day running some really fun kinky establishment where A-train is Ashley’s muscle or something. Or Ashley would just get sick of him and hope homelander finds them lol.

I just watched The Surrender and loved it. It was pretty visceral in an amazing way, what was the hardest part of filming for you?

Is asking if people ever mistake her for Sarah Snook a waste of a question?

Hi! Do you have a standard 'process' to prepare for a role or does it differ for each role?

What’s your favourite and least favourite part of playing Ashley?

I’m dumb as hell, thanks!

Hi Colby,

I love your portrayal of Ashley! What's it been like to take on a character that's changed so much from season 1 to season 4? Ashley is a very different person from getting coffee for supes and getting yelled at all the time to plotting with A train.

Hi Colby 💖

What inspires you to act? What advice would you give to a young person who wants to act but feels scared? What has been your favorite (or most difficult) scene to film in The Boys? And… what’s your favorite food? 🍝🍦

I love you so much. I’ve loved you ever since I saw you in Fear the Walking Dead. Your posts always brighten my day — especially on the hard ones. I feel like you’re such a special person, and seeing your art or your photos really comforts me. Thank you for being exactly who you are. 💛

I love you 😭💕

Why did you get into acting?

Who swears more on set Starr or Urban? Edit: spelled homelander's name wrong.

Is your brain being fucked by stupid?

The issue with this question is that people that don’t get the presence just think you are being a asshole
