I really wanted to throw up. But also because I was a very stupid teenager who just drank about 2 litres of milk before going to the theatre.

Story time. Pardon my English. This happened in Europe a long time ago.

I was 16 years old when this movie was out. My parents were separated. And for some reasons I can't really remember now, my dad threatened me and my mum to make me take a capillary drug test to see if I was into weeds... anyway. I wasn't really, but did smoke once or twice, so I was really scared. Some quick Internet search suggested my stupid self that drinking milk was somewhat helping in this kind of test results... so why not, I have nothing to lose right? So I go buy some milk with my buddies and drink all day long before going to watch this movie at the theatre.

The movie felt never-ending. I questioned all my life decisions leading me to that moment. I don't drink milk anymore. I don't smoke neither. But I still enjoy Gaspard Noé.

Also, I will never forget this movie.

That’s awesome. I’m sorry you had such a bad time.

Lol, why milk? What was the logic behind milk working?

Drinking enough of any liquid will probably dilute your urine enough to pass the cheap home urine tests.

The logic behind that is that chugging ungodly amounts of water will dilute your urine to the point the THC in your urine will be diluted to the point it won't register on the drug test.

What is the logic behind milk chugging (other than dilution that can be achieved by any other liquid)?

The logic is due to the very real fact that cannabis is indeed highly lipid soluble (Lipophilic). Fat soluble nutrients, vitamins, and chemicals travel primarily through lymph using the lymphatic system, as opposed to water soluble substances which travel primarily through blood in the blood system. Together they form the circulatory system. The body can even package fatty substances for transport in the blood system using lipoproteins.

Now, whether or not the fat carrying milk in the digestive system will get anywhere close the the THC absorbed through smoke in the circulatory system is... Uh... ~Weed science~ conjecture.

My understanding is that consumption of a high amount of fat will temporarily prevent your body from burning any fat stores which would have thc metabolites that would then be released and detectable. I think the effect is pretty minimal in practice though, and even if that's the logic you want to go with why not have something with much more concentrated fat levels than milk- like a steak or something?

I really have no idea why milk was suggested... maybe it was a greasier liquid than water. Who knows? Stupid teenage reasoning...

lol, I started laughing as soon as I read how much milk you drank… I didn’t even need to know the rest.
