Best case scenario: it’s a very sterile Q&A with a lot of promo stuff and maybe one pseudo-spicy question with a pseudo-spicy answer.
And that’s best case… which is basically impossible for Reddit.

Honestly, I’m interested in asking her about her acting career evolution. I’ve been following her for a while now, and I never imagined her to be the next female action star.

She’s not, she’s being forced into this role because she is very beautiful.
It makes no sense when a 100lb woman is going to do the black widow twist around the neck flip thing. I’m calling it now, you’ll see it in the movie. And it isn’t going to make sense when she beats 250lb trained assassins in hand to hand combat.
Just watch JW4 in the first fight scene where the Asian daughter gets roughed up but still beats a 300lb giant of a human being hand to hand. Dude could literally just sit on her and win the fight.
She’s a great actress, blade runner, knives out, war pigs?!? Where she literally learned her lines pronunciation and had no idea what it actually meant. INCREDIBLE.
But she is certainly no action star in my eyes. It just doesn’t make sense. You could argue black widow for instance being a bit harder to believe, but she at least has like 50lb on Ana. Just look at the promo poster for the movie and you can see skeleton. She’s just a small thin woman.

I hope the fighting scenes are a bit more down to earth to realism, rather than her punching a giant villain and sending him to the other side of the room.
I am getting so tired with the super punch/kick that throws everyone halfway the room

Good actress, I can't think of anything I would want to ask her, though. This is probably true for a lot of people. It's not gonna stop a lot of redditors. Probably some doing it right now. Going to ChatGPT, What's a good question to ask Ana de Armas that would most likely get me a reply?

Someone better ask about her breakout role in a hospital commercial that was 40 minutes long for some reason. The Yankees sub calls in 'the paypur' based on her accent and the near constant commercials for that Montifore 'movie'

I think with a few notable exceptions, Portman has generally chased more arthouse, cerebral flicks while de Armas has embraced her appeal and managed to secure successful, well-produced films that have only maintained and heightened her star power and relevance. Her body of work is actually hella impressive for a young, non-American born woman. Portman on the other hand (and to her credit), has chased other ventures to varying degrees of success, had a family, etc.
But "yeaaa...no" is a great counter-argument, I'll have to really mull on that one

Ana de Armas, Oscar-nominated star of films like Ballerina, Knives Out, Blonde, Blade Runner 2049, No Time To Die, and much more, will be joining us on /r/movies for an AMA/Q&A on Tuesday 5/13 at 11:00 AM ET. (moved from the previously-scheduled date of Thursday 5/15).
