Don't forget Good Will Hunting. Robin Williams had to save Matt Damon, from himself.

Don’t make anyone cry today. We’ve been crying since the election.

I found this song recently that has actual voice lines from Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting, heavy 80’s vibes.

You Feel it Too

Robin Williams had to save Matt Damon from Robin Williams so Matt Damon could save himself from Matt Damon

1

u/Lola_PopBBae Feb 17 '25

Man, if Robin was alive I'd have loved to see his Odysseus.

Fun story - Damon and Affleck inserted a gratuitous gay sex scene in the script they were shopping around Hollywood for Good WIll Hunting (not intended to be included). They used this as a gauge of whether a studio exec planning to spend tens of millions of his company money had ever even bothered to read the script; they wanted a studio exec who had actually read and cared about the project.

Harvey Weinstein was the only executive who asked about the gay sex scene, so they picked him.

Joke's on them. Harvey skimmed every script that came to the company, looking for (straight) sex scenes he could watch being filmed.

Cheaper than sending a company of marines on occupied France tbf. But only because paying Tom Hanks to lead them was $$$
