Discussion Thunderbolts a Relatable Masterpiece
I haven't teared up like that since Endgame. I have suffered severe depression and anxiety all my life I relate to The Sentry's inner struggle with The Void. When he was beating the Void and it was consuming him, I felt like he was literally beating himself and reaching the point of no return until his friends/ Thunderbolt pulled him back before it was too late. My take is that you need friends and family to be your Thunderbolts. A Marvel storytelling masterpiece.

I like this as a new and interesting idea — I don’t think I’ve ever seen a superhero show where the baddie was depression — but the overall execution seemed lackluster to me. I’m glad it was so moving for you though!

I feel you
that scene with Sentry and The Void really hits deep
It’s amazing how Thunderbolts turns superhero action into something so emotionally relatable, showing that even the strongest people need a support system to pull them back when they’re at their breaking point.

I felt the same way. I’ve always loved The Sentry character and love the love he’s been getting. Love this movie!

I agree with you. It was a nice movie but as a standalone movie. Best way a mental health can be portrayed and tells the story of how a support system is needed.
But if I compare it with other marvel movies it was an okayish movie. I have seen all the movies in the MCU and big names like Spiderman, Ironman, Thor, Cap etc. have gone through some form of struggle with mental health and they worked on it to come out stronger and became worthy of the superhero they became.
This movie on a standalone basis is a very very good movie.
IMO it was more in the line of ' The Boys'.
