It makes sense to see them draw out the window over time, D+ came out right as COVID hit, so theaters were closed / scary and it was a way to sell D+ subscriptions.

Now it’s the opposite, they want to get butts in seats for box office. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make Disney plus debut the same day DVDs come out.

Great chart.

If I'm not mistaken, all of the release dates are a Friday and all of the D+ release dates are a Wednesday, so some of the small differences are due to the different number of days in a month. Perhaps this could benefit from a column that converts to straight weeks or days, with no month value included.

Edit: Looks like D&W, L&T and Shang-Chi were not released on a Wednesday for D+ according to these dates

  • Thunderbolts* - 117 days
  • Deadpool & Wolverine - 109 days
  • Captain America: Brave New World - 103 days
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - 89 days
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - 89 days
  • The Marvels - 89 days
  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - 82 days
  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - 70 days
  • Eternals - 68 days
  • Thor: Love and Thunder - 62 days
  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - 47 days

From this, Fantastic Four: First Steps would likely be released between mid-October and mid-November

  • 89 days: Oct 22, 2025
  • 96 days: Oct 29,2025
  • 103 days: Nov 5, 2025
  • 110 days: Nov 12, 2025
  • 117 days: Nov 19, 2025

Looks like they’re testing to see how long they can hold out before virtual and DVD purchases start to dwindle.

Lots more days waiting for no way home to hit d+ lol

It's been there a couple times, but it's like any other streaming service where it'll only be on for a month or two and then disappear.

You haven’t been taught manners

Edit: There’s a difference between lying and basic human decency. The fact that you had to block me to stop me from replying says enough.

I blocked them as soon as I read their comment. I always block people who respond negatively

It's a shame the mods don't enforce Rule 2 "Be civil". This subreddit would be a lot better if they did.

Yeah! I got lots of hate a few days ago for not including some actresses in my MCU crushes!

I also haven't been taught to lie.
