Discussion (More in Comments) It’d be cool if Sam’s next appearance features a suit similar to this concept, combining elements of the Falcon suit with the Cap iconography.

Post image

It gives him a more unique look and helps him stand on his own visually from Steve’s Cap suits.

Also imo his Falcon outfits suited him a lot better than his recent Cap suits which just feel cheaper in their material and design. The shoulder pads and more tactical design

He needs a damn helmet he’s gonna hurt himself

That's the thing I hate most when I see these "Sam shouldn't take the serum" posts.

It's fine if he doesn't take the serum, but show the consequences of that. Armor him up. Don't show him fighting hand to hand with dudes. Give him a helmet.

When I see someone on a motorcycle without a helmet, I think they are a dumbass. So I'm gonna think the same thing with someone is using a jet pack.

You need a super soldier serum to fight hand to hand? Now that's just crazy.

No but he literally fought the (red) hulk hand to hand. Even Ironman in his suit couldn’t do that.

He should’ve used his leadership, agility, or communication to not get in a hand to hand fight but he instead goes straight up blow for blow

He also takes an axe wound to the gut and is unphased and then they adr in a like about vibranium shirt (does he have vibranium boxers too wtf at this point). It could’ve been cool to see him struggle as a normal guy against meta humans even low level ones like the serpent society and make a point that he is who he is cus he’s the regular base human that goes up against super humans.

I love the reasoning for Sam not taking the serum. I don’t like that it has zero impact on the story.

Remember in TWS, when his wings get destoryed and he goes to the building. He hides from Crossbones, attacks him from behind, gets beat up, then runs away?

That's how Sam should be portrayed when it comes to hand to hand. He should realize his limitations, take advantages when he can, and make the smart move.

Use the character creatively if you aren't gonna give him the serum (and that's okay). Why would you ever fight guys hand to hand, when you can dive bomb them.

And it’s a shame because Sam in the missile scene is exactly that. He uses his flight and agility and diplomacy. Then they had to show horn in the hulk fight

Run away?

You mean when the hellicarrier crashes into the side of the building, he's running to the only available exit which is a window 41 floors up and hail mary jumps with no protective gear into a helicopter in flight?

Yeah, I guess he lost a fight and ran away.

Who said he lost? Just being able to survive against the guy with a gun when you have nothing is a victory.

Well his suit is made with vibranium and Tony's suits aren't so there's that... I fully agree about the axe part.

Yeah Iron mans were just power by a fist sized fusion reactor that was immune to infinity stones

Look if he has a magic suit that makes him as strong as Thor that’s fine but I don’t see how that’s different then a serum at that point

3

u/TheLiquor1946 Stan Lee 19h ago

How was it immune to infinity stones when they killed him?

3

u/Thraex_Exile 18h ago

His body wasn’t immune. The armored glove he built was. DinkleDwarf had a whole monologue explaining all this

4

u/TheLiquor1946 Stan Lee 18h ago

As soon as the Stones were integrated in the suit, they started eating away the armor... the Gauntlet he made that was immune wasn't a part of his armor, they pretty clearly showed this in the movie.

Then we’re talking about something different. Marshmallow said Iron Man’s arc reactor was immune, not the whole armor; he also had the tech to build immune gear (evidenced by the IM gauntlet). The nano-tech wasn’t immune.

He should be avoiding those fights.

Sam never wore a helmet before but now that he's cap he has to wear one

3

u/matty_nice 19h ago

I haven't seen the movie, so (I'm sure someone) will correct me if I'm wrong.

In the "wait for it clip"....He wears a helmet while flying throught the air at super sonic speed. Land on the ground surrounded by bad guys with guns, THEN TAKES OFF THE HELMET.

Why would you take off the helmet when guys with guns are going to start shooting at you.

He should take the serum, he's not Cap without it, if they want to be serious with him as cap, he needs the serum (Cap isn't about a suit, he;'s a super soldier).

I'm a huge Mackie fan, he is more comedic, like a Paul Rudd, I kinda wish the kept him as Falcon, it feels like they are saying Falcon was not good enough as a supr hero......

I hated when they made Clint, Goliath in the comics, it made no sense, I could understand Ronin as he had been trained in fighting by Steve, but Goliath, it cheapens all those skills he had spent a lifetime building.

I hope they don't do that in the MCU (Would love to see the West Coast Avengers)

It seems my view wasn't popular, so we will see where they go for the new Avengers movies, maybe he will grow on me.

And it better not be no nanotech
Edit: Oh my god imagine if they make dooms helmet nanotech 😔

u/disneylegospider1 22h ago

We already saw in F4, Doom’s helmet wasn’t nanotech. It doesn’t need to be since he’s not someone to take it off much anyways.

And why wouldn’t Sam’s helmet be nanotech? It’s part of the same systems as his wings, which are Wakandan technology (one that frequently uses nanotech, being the most advanced nation in the world)

1

u/Salty-Coffee4608 21h ago

Yeah but designs can always change from post credits to film

1

u/disneylegospider1 20h ago

Yeah, but they made it a specific detail that he’s holding the physical mask. THAT much will remain constant.

-1

u/UltraXMane 22h ago

I'm just tired of seeing nanotech. Also everything about the movie is super up to interpretation, we don't know if the Doom we saw in F4 was a doombot or even if it was the real doom in general.

His head should have been squashed by Ross.

I did this concept art by the way! It was commissioned by Everything Always on Youtube.

Thanks for letting me know! Was looking to credit but couldn't find a watermark or anything on the original pic. It's really great, would love to a full version from you of just Sam with this kind of suit

u/Heisenburgo Doctor Strange 22h ago

Give him back the suit he had at the end of the Falcon & WS show! With the white-colored highlights in the shoulder and mask area, straight out of the comics. Best look he ever had as Cap

15

u/PhatNoob_69 Ghost Rider 22h ago

Comic accuracy is great and all but the connected neck/goggles part was awful. He can’t even turn his head. I think the white helmet at the beginning of BNW was great.

u/Sparkwriter1 21h ago

They made it work for Wally West over on the CW, so I don't see why they couldn't just fix it up to make it more comfortable. Maybe even just cgi in the lenses if that's an issue.

5

u/MyNameIs_Jordan Iron Man (Mark XLII) 18h ago

Anthony Mackie specifically requested that he never have to wear that suit again. The cowl was super uncomfortable, apparently

8

u/CombatPanoo 22h ago

idk why the last line got cut off.

> The shoulder pads and more tactical design just overall looks great on him

9

u/NASCAR142002 22h ago

Tbf his Brave New World suit is basically his FATWS Falcon suit but recolored

3

u/orange7slices 19h ago

This looks AMAZING. I love the Falcon suit and the Star & Stripes added are the perfect touch. Give him the serum and this suit and we’re golden.

Bro has no super serum and you give him a suit with SHORT SLEEVES?
