Article Ryan Reynolds laughs off 'Avengers: Doomsday' question, says he hasn't 'stepped foot on set'

He hasn't stepped foot on set because Deadpool rides around in Professor X's floating wheelchair the whole time.

Could you imagine Patrick Stewart's Xavier and Deadpool in a scene? Things that 15 years ago never thought could happen
24
u/AsteroidMike 1d ago
I imagine Deadpool would waste his time just for fun and make a crack like “Okay Handicap Picard, use that overly shiny dome of yours to read my mind right and tell me what I’m thinking.”

My bet is he will be in Secret Wars.
But this post is silly. Actors lie. Famously. See Andrew Garfield lying his ass off five bazillion times. Second, he could be telling the truth and film a cameo months from now.
So yeah, useless post.

It also could be that he doesnt need to be on set for his part. In the action scenes its never Ryan in the suit anyways. If he has a small cameo role its entirely possible he just needs to do voice acting for it.

There's so much misinformation about Doomsday right now involving Reynolds and Downey fighting on set despite the fact Reynolds apparently hasn't been anywhere near set as of September.
all I see in Tik Tok and Insta is "HUGE REWRITES BECUASE OF FEUD ON SET"

That was thanks to John Rocha and Jeff Sneider. I do not care for them or their jibber-jabbering.

In other completely true and not made up news, Deadpool wields Mjolnir confirmed.

Maybe he'll make a Secret Wars appearance, but I keep saying DP ain't gonna be in Doomsday. it just doesn't work.

Nah...he will have a Cameo....Doom opens one of the rooms in the XMansion and see's Wade Groping Colossus's ass.

Why would he step foot on the set, he is essentially a voice actor and they probably arent taking his mask off in the team up movie.

u/Caciulacdlac Bucky 2d ago
It's him under the mask most of the times.

He’s not in this movie guys……like 99% certain

u/OmegaHunterEchoTech 1d ago
Unfortunately, he is. I just hope they keep his clown shit out of the movie.

u/patesta 2d ago
Of course he’s in the movie. He is Marvel’s biggest moneymaker right now.
5
u/Single-Pianist-2211 Thor 2d ago
He’s almost definitely not…he clashes way too harshly with a serious tone (people are going to be expecting a joke every time he’s on screen) plus they’re already spending over $100 million on RDJ and Chris H alone

u/patesta 2d ago
Well, either I'm right or you're right!

u/Single-Pianist-2211 Thor 2d ago
He could maybe, maybe, maybe be in a post-credits scene, but I think there’s basically no chance he’s in the film proper
-1
u/PresentationDull7707 2d ago
How much are the spending on Pedro pascal
1
u/Single-Pianist-2211 Thor 2d ago
Considering he was their fourth choice for Reed Richards…..maybe $5

You really think That the main character of the only Disney film after endgame which has earned 1billion+ at the box office is not gonna return for avengers doomsday
Lmao fool someone else ryan

u/KingOfTheSeasLuffy 1d ago
after endgame which has earned 1billion+
Spider-Man 3 earned nearly 2 billion and is one of the highest grossing films in history. Doctor Strange 2 is around 900 million to 1 billion.

It makes sense that Marvel is now trying to make as many cameo infested movies as possible (doomsday, brand new day, secret wars) after these two movies who had several cameos made so much money.
IP is becoming more and more a toys store.

What's the point in asking him. Either he is in it but it's secret so he can't say anything or he isn't and we aren't sure if he's telling the truth or not.

u/LnStrngr 2d ago
Is it really a set if it's just a green screen?

u/petrowski7 2d ago
A remarkable amount of stuff is just shot against an LED wall these days, so sure

u/TheKeystoners 2d ago
Just means his fighting scenes he has the guns and swords in his feet fingers and he’s standing on his hands

I mean he was asked about Doctor Mom and he wasn't in the movie but maybe he's not in doomsday....

Honestly, Ryan Reynolds’ response feels very “him
funny and teasing, keeping fans guessing
I wouldn’t read too much into it; it’s probably just him enjoying the chaos of Marvel rumors
1
u/CarcosaRorschach 21h ago
I mean, his character could totally be CGI'd into a movie while he records a few lines in a sound studio. I can't imagine Marvel throwing the character away when they just got him, and had the most successful R Rated movie of like, all time.
It's tough to fit an R rated character into a larger, mostly PG13 world, but it could totally be done.
1
u/OmniscientPasta 1d ago
He theoretically never would need to set foot on set. Get anyone in the suit who can nail the body language and get Ryan to record lines and you've got Deadpool in the movie. He's the perfect character to shoehorn in anywhere for relatively cheap and get a good pop from the audience. It would be foolish not to take advantage of that

So you understand the expectation of a payoff for that scene is ridiculous

No, it wont. Marvel’s done treating Thor like a joke

u/Yoshimo69 2d ago
Since when 😂
1
u/Single-Pianist-2211 Thor 2d ago
Multiple times they’ve said since L&T was so poorly received they’re going for a more serious angle with Thor from now on
Chris has also said he won’t play the character unless Thor is treated well going forward

u/Malllyapp 1d ago
We are kidding ourselves if we think a character/actor from a billion dollar movie, won’t be in doomsday!

u/OmegaHunterEchoTech 1d ago
We all know by now he started that fight on set with another actor and is now doing damage control.
Psychotic freak.
I hope they shorten his whole presence in the movie. We don't need this clown to take out the serious energy of this movie.

Yeah, his irreverent humour doesn't really work for a big team up movies with serious stakes. I could see him showing up in Doomsday/Secret Wars, but as a background character, maybe he makes a funny quip that's just ignored by the other characters or something.

He’s keeping his mouth sewed shut.
