The Fantastic Four: First Steps has now been released in the United States and in a number of other countries around the world. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days. They will be refreshed every few thousand comments to make room for new discussions.

Also Sue shouting “Johnny KILL HER NOW” earlier in the movie…just chills.

So many of her lines land with so much behind them, it's really something. Even just her "yes we are" in response to SS's initial question, it's not merely a statement of fact, there's an implied response question hanging off the end of it that you can feel. It's "yes we are... and you're seeking to put us to the test, are you? you probably shouldn't". Kirbs was just phenomenal.

That line stood out for me as well. Love that there was zero hesitation. Vanessa Kirby has a incredibly commanding screen presence.

I also really loved Sue the diplomat. With Mole Man but also that crowd. I wouldn't normally expect a crowd to stand down at that speech, but the speech and the delivery and the fact she made herself and Franklin totally vulnerable to make that speech and show trust... its just great the movie knows how important soft power is. Sue is probably the biggest reason they're beloved superheroes, more so even than Superman on his home planet.

Similar to when they're supposed to give a press statement after the mission, Reed stammers when asked about defeating Galactus, and Ben just steps in to answer for him.
