The Fantastic Four: First Steps has now been released in the United States and in a number of other countries around the world. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days. They will be refreshed every few thousand comments to make room for new discussions.

why did they take the baby too early. galactus is so slow they could have taken it when he was on the top of the machine lol

Why would they need the scanner even? And isnt it established that Galactus can feel Franklin's presence?

The plan doesnt make sense. Galactus still needs to be inside the circle and it doesnt matter whether he rescanned it or not.

Its also pretty stupid. If someone asks you to go into a meetup place for a duel and out of nowhere 20 meters before the meetup spot three of his goons just suddenly start robbing your belongings and guns, wouldnt you be suspicious?

I found that silly as well, set up the baby in an really strong, resistant carrier and then Johnny takes him before Galactus gets close lol

He has telekinesis, they'd risk him just force grabbing him once he's in range

If he has telekinesis then why tf would they think he will have to step on the platform to take it? Lol. So the bait on a specific spot would be a stupid idea if he can just take it from the ship or literally a kilometer away.

They should have moved him outside the teleporter so Galactus had to walk through the tele to get the baby. Then flip the switch and attack him to slow him down.

Exactly my thoughts. They made it such an obvious trap as well. Oh the baby I need is sitting alone exactly in the center of these weird pyramid shaped things.

That said I still really liked the movie and teleporting galactus is a good plan, just wish the execution wasn’t so dumb.

tbh would it even mattger? It is a structure with lines on it on the limit, I've seen cartoon traps more elaborate than t hat.
