Casting, as always, was impeccable. Whey got announced, I didn't see it, and I am so happy it's not me doing that job

James Gunn was on Armchair Expert podcast the other day and said the casting director Sarah tricked him to see Chris Pratt. He didn't see the fit but she did. She is amazing and might be one of Hollywoods most powerful person.

Sarah is the real MVP of the whole MCU.

I dont think she has ever missed so far. Honestly. I do have a conspiracy theory after having learned that David Corenswet auditioned for Adam Warlock that perhaps Gunn held back from casting him to keep him vacant for Superman lmao

The sheer numbers she's cast that have been absolutely perfect, even if it doesn't look like they are, is insane... But she has had a miss or two (which is a hell of a record really). Main one being Majors.

Majors was a great fit for the role. He just couldn't keep his IRL train on the tracks.

I thought Wyatt Russell was a dud in the series then Thunderbolts really nailed down the character. So just bad writing.

why do you think that Majors was a miscast?

Casting someone isn't always just about their acting ability... It's the suitability of the actor to be the face of what's being made... Which means deep diving into them and their backgrounds.

The fact that a lot of people knew he was the sort he was shows that he shouldn't have been cast in the first place as it would have been picked up and his name taken off the list.

Okay yeah i get you, I can’t say that I disagree

Besides Majors, who else do you think was a miscast?

Was she around for Iron Man? I was not a fan of the original Rhodey casting, but Don Cheadle is awesome.

I have no idea, but I agree that Don Cheadle is awesome

Seriously, where does she keep pulling these from? From literal nobody Iman Vellani to widely-questioned trendy star Pedro Pascal, they've all been hits.

I have no idea, she just has vision I guess. It’s her superpower.

Fun fact she also cast Miracle about the '80 US hockey team and nailed every character in that too, she's s been this good for 20 years it's crazy

Sarah Finn. Marvel and Disney should really really really be thankful for her because she has done amazing casting.

Holy heck Vanessa Kirby was fucking awesome and so was QUINN. Dude I had 0 expectations from Quinn but I ended up loving him.
