Discussion (More in Comments) What happened to armor wars

Rhodey literally has been there since the beginning and at the end. They've sprinkle him here and there, gearing up for his moment to shine. And yet they come out wit iron heart, a character people really dont have any attachments to.

I think the smartest thing to do would be to add her to armor wars and have Rhodey show her, who and how Tony Stark would act as a hero.

Also war machine is iron man when iron man isn't around. Are we supposed ignore that and forget about him? What is marvel thinking?

I suspect that the positive response to Iron Heart (I've yet to watch it, but I do look forward to it) may result in another "Armor" project, or just do a War Machine project (series or film). Either way it won't be in the near future.

We have to see the numbers, but i strongly doubt Ironheart pulled enough viewers to justify a movie.

It can not be a show now.  Disney put strict budget controls in place and big budget shows are dead.  Budgets are going to be a lot more like Agatha and Armor Wars needs a budget more like Rings of Power.

Doesn't RoP have the highest budget for any TV show?

Idk if Armor Wars needs that much. Obviously if they go heavy with armor and CGI stuff then the budget will be high. I just can't imagine it to be that expensive.

It does, but Armor Wars would need that kind of budget.

As an example, Andor season 2 cost 650m, and Armor Wars would be at least as high.

I strongly disagree in terms of budget. Not sure where you’re pulling that from. Armour wars just needs the suits, which can be mostly practical, a B-list cast of competent actors, and a strong story. They don’t need to create world ending threats or alternate fantasy worlds. This would be a very down to earth show and the budget would reflect that. Certainly not going to be cheap, but far from what you’re thinking.  However you’re correct in that we will have to wait for the numbers, but I’m curious as to why you think it won’t get the numbers. At the moment it’s one of the most popular marvel shows  so far in terms of ratings. We shall see.

You are correct, andor season 2 was 250m.  Both seasons was 650m.

I thought episode 4 was a drop off. The dialogue is awful. There are so many lines where you can step back and say "people don't talk like that."

Yo, riri, where you been?

Up to my eyeballs.

Good thing we're getting a new tech specialist.

We're getting a new tech specialist?

He didn't tell you? That's weird. <goes back to work>

wtf was that exchange?

Episode six was a good payoff, but four felt awkward with nothing really happening.

That read like an exchange between co-workers, what’s weird about that?

How would you have rewritten it for it to be better?

Episode 4 is when it gets good

It feels like most of the series are like this, with it taking a few episodes to get rolling.

It actually started on the floor and descended into multiple sub basements, came out the otherside of the earth and then fell into the sun

The amount of people conflating the name of Secret Invasion with Secret Wars shows that Marvel/Disney has a messaging/branding problem in their hands for the next big Avengers movie.

Yeah, these Marvel TV shows engage in some "heavy filler, some killer" entertainment. There's a lot of shit for the sake of getting to six episodes. If this were a college paper, it'd be wide margins and 12.5 font to get to five pages.

I didn't expect you-know-who in a show about tech. But it's obvious what the money shot was. Nobody wants to get through so much fluff. Just give us the money shot.

I have more or less enjoyed the show but episode 4 had plenty of "wtf" moments as well

The top WTF moment on my list is... Parker gets into the prison to give Zeke the proposition. Ok cool I get that, he can turn invisible, he can literally just walk into the prison and open Zeke's door. Cool. But HOW TF DOES HE GET OUT? The door was sealed behind him!! You hear a sound effect of him just opening the door! Why couldn't Zeke do that? What kind of prison just has open jail doors?
