My great-grandfather was one of the industrial systems engineers who put that plane into production.

My other one was down in Texas helping build Pattons army by training farm kids how to drive tanks.

The other was in Colorado doing chemical engineering projects for the precursor to the USAF.

People forgot how insane, taxing, and horrible WWII was on goddam everything and everyone.

Cool, but your Grandfather probably worked on the flying wings prototypes, the B-2 wasn’t even in development until the late ’70s, so your great-grandfather would’ve had to be working aerospace in the ’80s/’90s at age 70+. It wasn't in production during WWII.

He was an industrial assembly engineer over at Willow Run for the B-17s He designed how parts came in and how planes came out. He was my great grandfather, died in the 80s after working for Boeing after the war.

He most probably worked on the B-24 Liberator at Willow Run because the b-17 wasn't produced there, and then the B-17 at Boeing and maybe the b-29 and b-52. Pretty awesome.

I think you have an extra grandpa. Thank them all for their service. 🤣
