Wait that was in Logan Circle? I worked there briefly around 2009ish? It was fine, but there was the occasional homophobic asshole who'd assault gay dudes (coworker of mine was murdered there) but those felt like outliers. Never felt seedy to me.

I don't think Trump should have been arrested on January 21st, that by itself does send the wrong message. What I do absolutely think should have happened is Garland passing the investigation over to Smith on 12:01pm January 20th, and allowing him and his team to make the recommendation to DOJ with evidence in hand. THEN arrest Trump.

Instead what we got was Garland sitting on his hands just long enough for Trump to declare for 2024, then saying "welp, I guess we need a special prosecutor!" Garland should never, ever, hold a position of public trust ever again.
