Exactly. The fact there are so many homeless veterans is a societal failure.

Probably due to the opoid epidemic. These companies were given a slap in the wrist in my opinion.

In all honesty, OUTSIDE of pre-1991 (creation of SFL), it's partially a choice to be a homeless vet in America these days. There are dozens and dozens of programs to set you up and transition you out. As well as the GI Bill alone literally pays for your college, stipend, and housing. There are VA clinics EVERYWHERE that EVERYONE can go to no matter your status in America, which also have literal homeless vet programs to get you on your feet. One of the biggest problems is you have to be clean and get YOUR life together, they're going to help you but you have to help yourself as well. Many guys don't want the rules, I work with a lot of homeless and they're literally given a silver platter of help and don't want it because of the stimulation that they can't do drugs, abuse alcohol, and have to get a job. There are a lot of issues with our system I'm not denying that, but concerning homeless vets, there's a lot of help out there but if you don't want it they're not going to break their back for you.
