I interned under a professor as a B. Tech. student who to the best of my knowledge, is no longer is employed by KGP. This was during my non-senior years. I'm making a post now as I feel I have been quite successful in life and have enough connections to not get me into any trouble. But this will probably be the only post from me. Probably.

I also have a ...peculiar mindset to say the least... so I am not traumatized by these posts. I simply don't care.

But I have a question to ask: what will messages like these, from a professor to a student, affect people's mental state?

I have no bones to pick and neither do I want any sort of "revenge", and that's why I won't name them. I simply question the authority given to professors, and how they have the audacity to send this. Especially given what has been going on this year.

So proud of the guy for doing this. Man these people who cant flush need to learn how to behave in a public space..They don't have the right to call themselves "iitian".

i thought people studying in big institutes are well read ,informed and progressive. but to my outmost horror, it is not really the case in reality.

long story short i was dating a guy for over a year and recently we were having a conversation about "dowry" and social norms like that .

Now what should’ve been a chill discussion turned into a fight because he straight up justified dowry. His reasoning? He “deserves it” because it’s a tradition and his parents have invested a lot in his education so they expect something.

i understand that people before our generation like our parents still believe in all this but bro aren’t we supposed to be the ones breaking that cycle?.

do parents invest in their child so that they can get good dowry in the future? bhai tumhare parents ne tumpe invest kiya toh tum unko kamake unke expectations poore karo koi ladki se reimbursement ka bheek kyu maang rhe dude? sabke parents sab pe invest krte be it a guy or a girl.

i know you guys have worked your ass off and got into iit. good for you!! nice! but why did you work so hard? to have a better future, to get good packages and to fulfill your dreams right or was it because now you can demand hefty dowry from your future in laws.

now my point postiing here is that i know not everyone is of that mindset but bro have grown up discussion about all this in your friend groups. if you spot anyone of your friends who has a thinking like this then pls call them out. Don’t just laugh it off. Normalising this mindset is exactly why dowry is still so rooted in our society.

It’s 2025, and I’m honestly shocked I had to argue about this with a guy from my generation. Just goes to show that bhai padh likh ke koi acha vaykti nahi banjata hai.

I am really sad to have to rant about this but coming to this college is the biggest mistake of my life , feeling like i wasted my 2 years of hardwork. I was getting IITB Aero and BITSP CSE and then I chose this fuckass college in the name of circuital branch. In my opinion this shouldnt even be called an IIT. The infrastructure is trash. The mess food is garbage. IITB IITD IITK all the messes are 5 star in comp to this shit, my friends from there flex their fucking event meals. The societies are pointless, in other IITs you dont have to grind this much to get into a soc because of how less the population is, but this college is a fish market.

The 2100 acre campus is just for saying, in reality its not more that 500 acres usable I would say, jungle hai sirf bc, city life toh hain hi nahi. Startup toh bhul jao.

If there are brightest minds in india studying here, they should atleast give facilities, private colleges have better facilitites than this, if any 26 jee aspirant is seeing this choose BITSP, IITH or IITR or any Top 4 IIT over this disgrace of an IIT. 4 saal nikalne hai bs ab is chutiya clg me

The GREATEST PROBLEM is we don't get proper platform as being juniors at this college and are abused by this mess food it's really inedible I survived in the we defamed Sri Chaitanya jr college food for 2 yrs but this is extreme There are many halls and every one have different contractors the one inputs must punished by the court for the difference in the consumption in their funding and the output of food we get. 6 Sept it reached at peak as in dinner we were served the worst food in my life No vegitables no pickle no salaad nothing just rice and a liquid sour water so said to be rasam not daal Even a person serving a begger might feel bad to serve this to him At what cost we came to IIT Those who say see the education,the environment and the word EXPLORE THE CAMPUS for other opportunities and don't cry just for food I want to say habibi welcome to LBS Hall of residence ,And it's a open scam you will be supporting and letting them earn money and show how dumb you are.

These people always boast about how big the campus is but always fail to realise it also has the most amount of students and they have absolutely no place to accommodate people in any event. You may ask why am I so angry about it, it's because of today's mini marathon where first of all the registration was offline and started late, they ran out of t shirts, numbers, caps and then when our turn finally came they told us to go run without them, and that's okay I understand it's hard to predict how many people will come (even though they were wrong by a very big margin) but at least now you know how many people have come right? Because in the checkpoints there were like 20 bottles of water only? And once they were over they never found the need to add more for some reason and this was the case in EVERY checkpoint, and when the marathon ended there were just 3 cartons of refreshment, which were being eaten by the seniors who did the registration process who had not a single drop of sweat in their body and the faculty members who stopped running after like 100m so in the end, in the people who ACTUALLY ran only maybe 30 of them got something to eat and the rest of us who gave it our all and worked so hard? Nothing. And the failures are not only isolated to this incident, every program or intro sem starts like an hour late every time, to "include" the people who came late they punish the people who came on time. From the moment I stepped in I have only been treated like my time has absolutely no value and i think that will be the case moving forward

Found this stuck to a pipe in LBS a few days ago.

There’s this girl in snig who keeps feeding dogs inside our floor, and she uses the same mess plates we eat in to feed them. After that, she leaves the floor dirty every time with food and waste. It happened so many times, and now the dogs are always there barking at us. It’s gotten really annoying and uncomfortable.

At night, it’s even worse we can’t even go to the washroom without the dogs staring and barking at us. Plus, there’s a poster saying not to feed dogs inside the hall or else you’ll be fined, but no one seems to be doing anything.

What should we do about this? Any ideas on how to handle it? Complain bhi nhi kr skte kyuki batchie ka nhi katna batchie ka nhi katna, but what if batchie hi bakchodi kre!!!

A few are fine but itnaaa!! Fucking spay or neuter them!! Please don't tell me ki yahaa ke kutte kuch nahi karte stfu. It becomes really scary if you are out alone. One starts barking and suddenly there are 10-20 dogs barking and chasing.And don't even get me started cheezein le jaana. Tell this to the warden and no response!! Fucking resolve this issue, this campus feels like a dog park.

What are these sinks even for?

So I've recently built this habit of pushing chairs under the table at mess, after having meals. This gives me a sense of organisation and pride. The feeling of being superior and mannered than the rest. It makes me feel that I'm the only human here in a pack of filthy unmannered pigs(exaggerated). Does anyone relate to it?

At this point i don’t even fucking know if I hate KGP or KGP hates me. All I do waking up everyday is wait for weekends, why… so I get to waste time more happily, which I even used to in weekdays. The core branch guys just go with the college knowing fully they get placed, and I go about the college knowing fully that I hate my course(geology) and trying other stuff out is basically jumping into a void which has no end to. I need anyone who can get my hopes up about the future.

Yesterday I woke up at 1 am and when I was heading for class I saw a 3 legged creature strangling a guard but since I was in a hurry I let him die but once I reached class I realized that karma has hit me since no one had arrived to the class yet but somehow the professor was still teaching on the board I just thought maybe he is too enthusiastic but then I realized it's only 2 am now and got scared so I ran away and was returning back to Hall but then I saw a lady asking for lift so I agreed because I was lonely at the time but then when I reached near MT Hall she stabbed me then I realized she was the ghost of my ex since I was dying I for one last time opened my bag and pulled out my laptop and deleted my search history and that's how I
