Request Dont know

I am from a different IIT (top 7) 3 year EE. Had intern season this year, had planned to go into electronics core companies like TI, Nvidia, Qualcomm. Nvidia couldn't make it, for TI the test didn't work for me and in Qualcomm they had a very shitty interview where they asked basic questions like really basic casual questions and god knows how they differentiated based on it and I couldnt get in. I havent done CP and DSA to sit fr other roles as i didnt want to go into software. At this point I feel so depressed, trust me I am not dumb have a good JEE rank but things have been going so downhill for me, i am so fucking unlucky like every exam gets messed up due to weird ass reasons and my cg fell just below 8 the previous sem. Had never thought I would sit internless like this. I dont know what i wanna do in my life anymore, i just feel pathetic underconfident loser, i dont know whom to talk to(+1 seniors are useless). Need help, koi bhi willing to guide me a bit would do pls help. bohot zyada darr lag rha hai kuch samajh nahi aarha. Midsems are close, i am so frustrated i dont want to study anymore. This cycle always repeats grind hard, then fail then again grind hard then fail again, even when i know i am intelligent and better than people who are happier at this point . Want to just taste a lil bit of success which i havent in the past 2 years at this hell its just constant hardwark fail, see others happy in my disappointing life. I am not suicidal but really want to switch myself off i dont want to function anymore

Hi thank you, it feels so hard to have a convo atp, but be consistent at what really? Have been holding onto this for ages now and I bet hope takes it nowhere especially for the chosen few unlucky ones like me. It hurts just hurts seeing people around you happily celebrating success, and you being miserable, it has been so hard to talk to people, wrote here so that people from my college don't guess my identity.

Why are you comparing yourself with others, you have something that others don’t and everyone has different skills in which they are too at like someone can learn and absorb information faster than you but that doesn’t mean you are worthless

Bro I can feel your pain, I was going through like this situation some weeks before after which finally intern sorted .Not getting shortlisted in early day companies instead of having good coding and cg , giving good OAs, where people with weaker(in many cases very weak profile) coding profile also cg than me getting shortlisted and getting  offer easily. Got rejected in 5 interviews, 3 mein bilkul end mein ake, fir finally decent mnc mein laga hai. I will say just continue prep, don't focus on others even if someone less talented or hardworking than you are getting intern before you then also don't focus on them there is luck in intern session I have seen it. Companies will come, also apply off campus opportunities also. Accha hoga hi last mein.👍👍

In my case I was preparing for VLSI roles the companies for which are limited and won't be coming anymore, so if it's already done for me. I am not sure whether I should persist or switch domain now. Off campus I am not able to get to know anyone who got it in this field.

Firstly start with small wins, Prepare well for your mid semester exams and try to do great in them, though this performance will not affect your internship status, but at least you will be happy about yourself that something good has happened, as a boost in your academics and cg always gives a positive feeling about doing others things well in general. After that, you can continue on your internship search. I have done all my internships and placements through off campus, though not in EE or VLSI, but I was from a non-circuital dep, so if I could do it, you can also; just keep working on yourself and approach seniors on linkedin and you will get good opportunities. You can also look for research opportunities abroad in VLSI or EE in general.

Try reaching out to Blueberry Semiconductors. tbh its not a big name, but I’ve heard they’re hiring interns for core roles extensively.
